2025 has been an incredible year for The EYM Project, highlighted by two major community partnerships that brought youth, music, and meaningful social messages together on national and international stages.

The Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo
The first partnership took place in July 2025 with the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo in Halifax. Our youth ambassador, Emma Stevens, had the honor of performing two powerful numbers during the show. Emma’s original song, I Want to Rise, was performed with the support of a large international wind band. This performance was presented in partnership with The Commissionaires Nova Scotia, celebrating their 100th anniversary while raising awareness for their campaign against human trafficking—a cause closely aligned with Emma’s dedication to the MMIW movement.
Later in the show, Emma joined fellow artist Devon Paul for We Are the Love, a stirring performance aimed at bringing attention to the ongoing war in Ukraine and showing solidarity with the Ukrainian people. This song, released by EYM as an international youth project, was performed alongside a youth choir from Canada and Ukraine, exemplifying how music can unite young people across borders for peace.

'Voices We Carry' NCTR Youth Empowerment Event
The second major collaboration took place in September 2025 during a large youth empowerment gathering in Halifax, hosted by the NCTR Commission. Emma and Carter Chiasson from the EYM Project performed Voice of the Earth alongside collaborators Darren Stevens and Michael R. Denny, joined by a group of Mikmaw dancers. This performance was a moving celebration of Indigenous culture and youth leadership. Emma and Devon also performed We Are the Love with a choir of students from Armbrae Academy, continuing the theme of international youth collaboration for peace.

The EYM Project would like to extend a huge thank you to the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo, The Commissionaires Nova Scotia, the NCTR Commission, Devon Paul, all our youth ambassadors, and the incredible students and collaborators who made these performances possible. Your support and partnership help EYM continue our mission of empowering youth through music, arts, and meaningful community engagement.
These partnerships remind us that music is more than entertainment—it is a platform for awareness, advocacy, and connection. We are inspired by the young people who lend their voices to causes that matter, and we look forward to continuing this work in the years to come.
